About Wood
April, a native of Dublin, joined Dr Soos Pediatrics in 2022. In 2004, she graduated from Middle Georgia State University with an Associate of Science in Nursing. In 2019, she graduated from Walden University with a Masters of Science in Nursing. April began her nursing career working in critical care in the emergency room and intensive care unit. As a nationally Certified Emergency Nurse, she then began teaching TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course), and other critical care courses at various hospitals. Currently, April practices emergency medicine as a family nurse practitioner in the local Dublin ER and also works with Serenity Hospice. April and her husband have three children. In her leisure time, she enjoys music and exploring the outdoors.
